kokuban's own browser
Works on sites that have no API (an admin page, a bank's statements), signed in by you
- You make
- nothing: you sign in yourself, in a window kokuban opens
- Command
kokuban connect browser --base <https://admin.example.com>
Steps
- kokuban opens a window of its own browser at the site
- Sign in there as you always do, then close the windowTwo-step codes, passkeys and "remember this device" work as in any browser.
- The sign-in stays on this computer; it is not shared with your own browser
Then connect it
kokuban connect browser --base <https://admin.example.com>kokuban asks for the key (it is not shown as you paste it), keeps it in your OS keychain, and tries it at once. If the key cannot do something, it says what to change.
On kokuban's screen, the connections list shows the services not connected yet: open one and press y, and the screen hands the terminal to this command.
Good to know
- Give the company with --team: each company has its own browser, and the sign-in is that company's.
- If the site signs you out later, kokuban's inbox asks you to sign in again; the work that needed it waits.
If it does not work
Add the other sites of the same work with --host
kokuban connections checks every connection and says which ones need you.
Taking it back
Run kokuban disconnect browser@your company: the browser's sign-in for it is deleted from this computer.
