Stripe
Watches payments and reads what happened
- You make
- a restricted key
- Where
- https://dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys
- Command
kokuban connect stripe
Steps
- Create restricted key, and name it kokuban
- Give Events: Read (and only what your workflows need besides)kokuban watches payments through the Events API, so Events: Read is enough for that. A restricted key cannot do what you did not give it.
- Create it and copy the key (rk_live_…)
Then connect it
kokuban connect stripekokuban asks for the key (it is not shown as you paste it), keeps it in your OS keychain, and tries it at once. If the key cannot do something, it says what to change.
On kokuban's screen, the connections list shows the services not connected yet: open one and press y, and the screen hands the terminal to this command.
Good to know
- A test-mode key (rk_test_…) works the same, with test data.
If it does not work
Edit the restricted key and give the permission the workflow needs (Events: Read to watch payments)
kokuban connections checks every connection and says which ones need you.
Taking it back
Run kokuban disconnect stripe@hq, then delete (or roll) the key on the API keys page.
